I realize the advantage of holding it properly- better tone, faster playing. But I just can’t get it consistent after holding it w the pad for all these yrs, something always just feels off.

This is great - love this solo and great tutorial! I believe the depth of the tone on the actual track is helped by the Epiphone Casino he used to record it (there’s a RUclips video of him improvising it somewhere)
